Problem Statement:
As online learning platforms continue to grow, students face challenges in managing multiple courses, tracking tasks, and staying motivated. This project aims to solve that by designing a centralized, user-friendly dashboard that displays relevant course analytics, progress, and upcoming tasks, all in one glance.
Solution:
I created a responsive dashboard that includes:
- Learning Overview: Key stats like total courses, completed tasks, and study hours.
- Course Analytics: Visual progress for each course with platform attribution (Google, Coursera, Facebook).
- Task Progress Tracker: Upcoming activities sorted by date for easy focus.
- Calendar Integration: A quick monthly view to manage deadlines.
- Performance Graph: A weekly activity chart to visualize engagement trends.
The layout uses clear spacing, subtle shadows, and a muted mint theme to reduce visual fatigue and encourage learning consistency.
Takeaways:
- Consistency matters: Using a unified grid and clear iconography helps reduce cognitive load.
- Minimalism works: Less clutter = more focus. Each section was intentional and purposeful.
- Data visualization boosts usability: Graphs and progress bars made abstract metrics feel tangible and motivating.
- User-first mindset: Designing for students meant balancing simplicity with function.
